Unit 7: Current Trends and Research Supporting the Mind-Body-Spirit Paradigm

The exercise for this week I really liked it gave me a new spiritual contention that I have not been able to achieve through mediation before it allows you to take a person dead or alive or even made up and there qualities that you admire and aim at how they went about thing differently than you are to achieve a certain end result. I think this is the practice what you preach thing it is like everyone can tell you how to be happy and healthy but how many of the people telling you that is actually happy. You can implement this by finding areas of your life than need improvement and people usually notice when a person has had a change for the better and then you could then be able to help someone with certain aspects of their overall health and wellness.

unit 6 blog

The exercise and assessment were very good when you can mentally focus on the universe this is meaning other people and things and events in life. I discovered it was kind of easier to do the assessment than the exercise since the exercise has to deal more with you mentally focusing on others and this is difficult when trying to think of your enemies and others who may be hard to give them any mental energy at all. Some exercises I can do is to focus on all people and how we all have a need and that deep down we all want love and not hate.

I did find it beneficial I like learning about new ways to meditate and this was a new practice in which I can implement. I would recommend it to others but not to people beginning I think theirs to much to focus on especially when talking about your enemies I would recommend one that involves clearing the mind and focusing on self-first.

Mental workouts provide a way for you to be able to strengthen your mental ability and also relieving stress by focusing on breathing and clearing your mind of stress and outside stimuli. Mental workouts can improve physical and mental health and can also help with memory recall, focusing, and healing. You can implement this by finding time through your day where you can get away from distractions and can be in a silent place and use these mental workouts to help you mental health.

On a scale of 1-10 I rate my physical wellbeing as an 8 I get checks up about every 8 months and I believe in a daily workout routine which includes weightlifting, long distance running, boxing, and pretty balance nutrition.  When it comes to my spiritual wellbeing I would give myself a 6 I think I’m a very spiritual person but compared to others I know I don’t see myself as spiritual as they are at times. When it comes too psychologically I think I’m a 9 I was former military and I have always had a pretty strong will and go get it attitude.

A goal for my physical is to continue progress and set new physical goals I would like to obtain one day like competing in a triathlon. Spiritually I would like to take more time and gain more knowledge on my spiritual wellbeing. Psychological I would like to continue to progress and gain an expanded mental strength.

Exercises I could implement would be to do more swimming to gain a better swimming ability and to meditate more to gain a better mentality.

The relaxation exercise crime of the century is very good I am very familiar with mediation exercises and I love to learn about new ones.
